Sonoma Wine Country Weekend

Sonoma County’s signature, and largest charity event, bringing together over 200 of Sonoma’s top winemakers and growers, along with a collection of the area’s best chefs. Produced by the Sonoma County Vintners and the Sonoma Valley Vintners & Growers Foundation, all proceeds benefit local Sonoma charities. Since its inception, Sonoma Wine Country Weekend has raised over $24 million for charities that benefit students, children, farm workers and people in need in Sonoma County.

Each year, Sonoma County Vintners, Sonoma County Winegrowers, and Sonoma County Tourism travel to key markets across the United States with a unique trade and consumer program that attracts more than 600 influential buyers, sommeliers and consumers to learn more about the region.

Sonoma Summit

Each November, Sonoma Summit – now in it’s ninth year – brings more than 30 of America’s top sommeliers and wine buyers to Sonoma County for a three-day immersion program. Sonoma Summit is designed to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Sonoma County, it’s AVAs and wine quality, and encourage them to become strong advocates for Sonoma County in the marketplace.

Presented by Sonoma County Vintners and Sonoma County Winegrowers, in partnership with Full Circle Wine Solutions, Inc. the program is moderated by respected Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein.

The Wine Advocate Tasting

Each year, Sonoma County Vintners hosts The Wine Advocate to conduct a Sonoma County tasting for his annual report on the region. This year, he tasted more than 800 wines from across Sonoma County. The report was released in the February 2016 issue (Issue 223) of The Wine Advocate.

Super Bowl 50 – Taste of Sonoma

In 2016, Sonoma County Vintners, Sonoma County Tourism and Sonoma County Winegrowers participated in Super Bowl 50 by becoming a destination and wine partner to the Super Bowl 50 Host Committee. Sonoma County hosted a wine tasting lounge and concierge center that offered visitors the opportunity to taste and purchase some of the county’s finest wines.
